Remaining behind the camera as an amateur photographer has been a big part of my transmutation from graphic design and real world displays into the realm of Film & Television. Being familiar with how the audience will see my sets helped me better understand where to spend my time dressing my sets and how to get the most storytelling out of surrounding objects.
